My post today includes a painting I have named "Urban Enchantment".
Rather than look into the painting itself though, my post today looks at one face of urban enchantment, and the contribution to it of culture and the arts.
Montreal is a city of festivals, the larger part of which occur during the summer months. This weekend, two of the major happening are the Fringe Festival, in its final week and the Mural Festival, just kicking off, in its first weekend.
It's a great time of year in the city. People have just shed their cabin fever and getting used to the idea of being outdoors.
First of all, mental note to myself: Look into participating in the mural festival next year! As I began my artistic career as a muralist and still have several murals around the city, it seems like it should be a fit! Secondly, am heading out to my studio in the country this weekend but need to be sure to check out the murals next week!
Actually in a big rush right now but more on these subjects soon. You can bid on the painting Urban Enchantment or buy it outright on my Daily Paintworks site.
