This painting is one of a particular thread among my abstract landscapes that I have been exploring for some years. The colors, shapes and techniques suggest all three of abstract, impressionist and expressionist styles. It all combines in something like a "vibrant vision" of the subject, resulting in a work that is representational, at least on the surface, and evokes a strong emotional response.
